Our amazing team of 8 people from across the globe have been working hard to make something special!
Drawing inspiration from the mid 80s classic Commodore 64 game Arkanoid, our team have remade this historical 2D game with some twists. Bombs will make you loose a life, your shield can protect you at the cost of not being able to pickup power-ups. The levels loop on completion of all levels, each time speeding up the balls, until they are impossible to return.
Arrow keys move the starship (paddle), once the right power-ups have been collected, space will fire the laser cannons. Left alt toggles the shields, while alt + space pauses the game. Press escape to exit the Game.

Team Lead: Jeremy Pernesz from AdaptEvolve Studios: Original game concept visionary. Level design, assisting with programming and unity configurations and setup. Organsing play testing and iterative changes during the jam. Scrum Master, and responsible for Trello board and project documentation.

As this game has been created for a Game Jam, we are under tight time constraints. There are some things we would have liked to fix for the Beta however we need to release the game now due to our submission deadline.
Things we would have like to have included:
Setup in VR using a 3D project, issues changing from 2D colliders to 3D colliders resulted in having to stick with 2D colliders which won't rotate on an angle in 3D.
High Score
Power up time left meters
Stopping power ups from falling when one is already active
Visible damage levels on the blocks for 2 and 3 hit blocks (sprite sheets already created)
